RECA 2026 Submission Rules and Terms & Conditions
These rules cover how submissions to RECA 2026 work, what you agree to when you enter, and how we handle the work you send us. By submitting a project, you agree to everything below.
General Eligibility
RECA 2026 is open exclusively to video based projects created for the real estate industry.
Projects submitted must have been published, delivered, or completed within the previous 12 months of the submission deadline.
Projects may be submitted to multiple categories when applicable. However, the same project may only be entered once per category.
Submission fees are non-refundable.
Ownership & Credits
The individual or company submitting a project is considered the official entrant and recipient of any award associated with that submission.
All major contributors should be credited during the submission process, including editors, filmmakers, producers, sound designers, and other creative team members when applicable.
By submitting a project, entrants confirm they have the authority to submit the work and accurately represent all major contributors involved.
RECA is not responsible for disputes regarding ownership, authorship, permissions, or contributor credits. Any such disputes are the responsibility of the submitting entrant and associated parties.
Public Display Rights
By submitting a project, entrants grant RECA permission to display, promote, and share submitted work across RECA platforms, including the website, social media channels, livestreams, presentations, and promotional materials.
Entrants confirm they possess any necessary permissions required to publicly showcase the submitted project.
Artificial Intelligence Disclosure
Projects utilizing artificial intelligence tools are eligible for submission, except where a category states otherwise. The Cinematic Excellence Award does not permit AI-assisted work.
Entrants must disclose the use of AI generated content, AI assisted imagery, AI voice generation, AI video generation, or other significant AI driven creative elements during the submission process.
Failure to disclose significant AI usage may result in disqualification.
Judging
All submissions are reviewed by the RECA judging panel.
Judges may not evaluate projects they directly contributed to.
All judging decisions are final.
Rising Creator Award
Entrants submitting to the Rising Creator Award must have been working professionally in real estate media for three years or less at the time of submission.
Eligibility is self reported and may be reviewed at RECA's discretion.
Editing Mastery Award
Editors submitting projects they did not shoot, direct, or produce must identify the project owner or commissioning company and provide appropriate contributor credits.
Recognition of contributors does not alter ownership of the submitted entry.
Recognition
Projects may receive one of the following distinctions:
Winner
Nominee
Honorable Mention
RECA reserves the right to determine the number of nominees and honorable mentions within each category.
Submission Fees & Payment
Each entry requires a submission fee, payable at the time of submission. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. RECA does not receive or store your full card details. A submission is only complete once payment has cleared. As noted above, submission fees are non-refundable, including for entries that are later withdrawn, disqualified, or not selected.
Your Work Stays Yours
Entering RECA does not transfer ownership of your project. You keep all rights to the work you submit. The permission you grant under Public Display Rights is a license for RECA to feature and promote the work in connection with the awards, not a transfer of ownership.
Limitation of Liability
RECA provides the awards program on an as-is basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, RECA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation, including issues related to submissions, judging outcomes, technical problems, or third party services such as payment processing. RECA's total liability in connection with the awards will not exceed the submission fee you paid.
Changes to These Terms
RECA may update these rules as the program develops. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continuing to participate after changes are posted means you accept the revised terms.
